Micheltorena Street Walking* #silverlake #digitalart

Micheltorena Street splits at Sunset.  This is one of the sides.  I let this image be more impressionistic than my other drawings.

Micheltorena Street slopes up and above the city.  Behind the vacant lots that dangerously slide down from the sidewalk, brown and dead, we can see the downtown skyline.  We park far away so we can enjoy the view on the walk to our house.

Revised text (I just changed some pronouns at the end): Micheltorena Street slopes up and above the city.  Behind the vacant lots that dangerously slide down from the sidewalk, brown and dead, we can see the downtown skyline.  We park far away so we can enjoy the view on our walk to the house.

I also changed the title of the post to “Micheltorena Street Walking” because I think it tells a bit more about the image while also creating a double entendre.  This is possibly dark.  Perhaps that’s what I’m going for…

I like this image, though I don’t get much feedback on it.  Perhaps I don’t share it enough.  I enjoy the colors and movement of the style.  I wonder if this could work in a coloring book.  There’s definitely room for interpretation.

Here it is without the text:
