I got a chance to see the amazing James Houlahan and band at the underground music series at The Dresden in Los Feliz. While the bands transitioned i wandered into the empty, front rooms of the restaurant which were serving as the green room. The lighting and the ghost-like, found-art of the guitar cases and empty beer bottles was quite eerie and beautiful.
I am enjoying what I discover when I duplicate and mirror photos. The first photo turned into a Southwestern tapestry. The second image looks like a black hole is opening up, merging the underground with what’s above.
I took the pictures on my iphone and edited them with the Camera+ app. I did the tapestry-ing on Photoshop.
Yes, definitely a visual essay and united together to tell such a story. Fun how you saw the story so well there.
