We’re on a roll and on to our 7th LAWS (Los Angeles Word Salon). The theme this Sunday is drugs. I can’t wait to hear what people come up with.
As far as the flyer art, this is my favorite thus far.
I saw the Shadows Andy Warhol exhibit at MOCA this weekend, and I realized I’ve been gravitating toward a similar bazaar color palette. I decided to push it a bit more in this latest flyer. Again, it’s based off a photo I took at last week’s event.

Is every open mic base on a theme?

yep! each LAWS has a theme that we decide on the week before. the themes are pretty vague, though, so there’s room to play around.
