This is a Lorna version of one of Daumier’s paintings called “Les Divorceuses”. This drawing may be used in the graphic biography of the French feminist Suzanne Voilquin. I’m collaborating on the biography, and we’re still sorting out the style of the book. We want to incorporate popular images from the day in order to add rich context to Voilquin’s life in the revolutionary times of the 19th century.
