Christina Hendricks Portrait

Although I absolutely adore Christina Hendricks, this is not my favorite portrait.  I wanted to publish this and move on, though, because my list of people to draw is growing and growing.  I’ll take you through a few of my versions.  I started with too many lines…

I’ll start with the final 16″x20″
I added some stray lines to accent her cheeks and lips

This is the drawing I started with at first.  I used too many lines – found too many shapes – so she looks like a Hendricks Bot (as opposed to a beautiful human).

I tried to cover up some of the “extra” shapes, but it just looked sloppy:

  1. Your welcome Have a look at my blog I have done quite a few Portraits myself In my own Style.Maybe it will help to see things from a different point of view.

  2. Have you ever thought about publishing an e-book or guest authoring on other
blogs? I have a blog centered on the same topics you
discuss and would really like to have you share some stories/information.

I know my viewers would enjoy your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to shoot me an
    e-mail.
