People’s Republic of Music #dtla #art

I am having fun with repeating shapes.  This drawing of the guitarist goes back to some of my earlier portrait drawing where the shapes make sense from far away, but up close they are abstract and seemingly random.  I’m glad that I am beginning to feel more comfortable integrating Lorna Alkana Art with graphic design.  I’m getting quicker at it too.

I made this flyer for the People’s Republic of Music show that happens at The Lexington Bar in Downtown LA every Monday evening.  The show is a curated open-mic followed by karaoke.
