Today I launched a Kickstarter for a project I’ve been working on with a musician friend, Operator Error. It’s an album called, “Affection.” We need to raise $2,800 in 27 days to fund the recording and distribution of the album and the art. Here’s the link: http://kck.st/2hHiA0V
I designed the cover and am working on the art book that includes lyrics from the album and drawings. I’m also making rewards for contributors which include, in addition to the album and art book, personal portraits and t-shirts. Cool gifts for someone you have affection for. Joe Deccico (Operator Error) makes really cool pop, twang music. He layers different textures of sounds, mixing catchy, thoughtful harmonies. Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/operatorerror
This project is a letter to his son and a collaboration with other artists through the lens of affection.
He recorded the recitation of my poem “Synesthesia” and an interview with me and turned it into a trippy song about memory. One of the rewards is a vocal sample on the album. You can be on it too!
I’m really excited about this project and would greatly appreciate your contribution.
Thank you so much! Please share if you know some people interested in supporting this grown-up feelings, music, art, collaboration project for music to span the generation gap!
