This one is quick, but it’s here!
Mostly, I’ve seen China on maps. My fridge map. My classroom map. The maps on the news in the little digital boxes behind newscasters.
I bought a new camera for the trip. It was made in China. I’m taking it home for a visit.
I’ve traveled, but I wouldn’t consider myself a traveler. I spread out, but my reach is messy, not vast.
At home, my routines involve constant reflection on wanting to change my routines. I move forward with consistent, ambitious reluctance.
China may flip the script.
I’ll be far away in a few ways. No Facebook or Gmail. I’ll be at home with me mum, my travel friend. I’ll still be able to post on my blog, I think.
I’m not sure if I’m over or under thinking this…vacation.? I’ll turn 29 while I’m there.
