Sandra Bland was a social justice activist who died in police custody after a traffic stop in 2015. She advocated for voting rights, a higher minimum wage, and civil rights. She filmed the trooper who pulled her over for a routine traffic stop, pulled his stun gun on her, and pulled her out of her car. After 3 days in a Texas jail she died. It was ruled a suicide. I don’t believe it.
As far as accountability in her traffic-stop-turned-in-custody-death: the trooper who pulled her over, pulled his stun gun on her, and pulled her out of her car was charged with perjury. He had to promise to leave law enforcment.
She’s dead and he’s found guilty of lying and charged to make a promise.
