The garage canvas is a halloween decoration opportunity and conundrum. The garage door presents a safe and consistent wall-of-house that designates safety and design consistency. In a black light art world, it’s a reverse canvas when what we seek is darkness.
In 2021 I made a passageway. It worked out, but it was a mission and a half. I put cardboard into an arch and then painted a design on top of it.

This year, 2022, I decided to go all in on the contrast and made silhouette landscape with the garden title.

In both versions I use green lights against the garage door. I also used two horizontal wires, at different heights attached to both ends of the garage door frame to attach the different cardboard elements.

In the version with the dark passage, I mounted black lights above (why it has the purple glow). This makes the hanging green tape glow more, extending the green light. I like that. There’s still a few days, It could still happen.
