#PhasesandFaces #Artshow Opening and Hanging Recap

[This is a recap from my show “Phases and Faces that happened earlier this year, in August, 2016.  The show is still up!  You can stop by Opodz in Little Tokyo Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and check it out!]

Oh!  What a great night!  The gallery was mulled over the whole evening!  People shared their favorites with me!  The hits ranged across all the walls/phases/faces.  From the Tiny Planets to the Watercolor Word Search portraits, the surreal skies and the coloring books.  And this was just night one!

I am so appreciative of Opodz and Sasha Ross for helping me chronicle my past five years of arting, vertically and tangibly.

Here are some photos from the event!  It was great to see some faces who have been a part of the process and the art and those who are checking it out for the first time.  And we’re all looking at it in a new way.  This was my first time with this many walls, and all my walls (mwah haha), so it was pretty special.

Here are some incredible photos Sasha Ross took at the event and during set-up:

I put my pop-up-show tables in the center with chairs around them so people could doodle and flip through my prints.  Next time I’ll have more seating!  People wanted to chill.  Tis good!

The projections hit many planes of the exhibit.  They even reached through the window front to the surfaces of a column and awning outside.  I put together many of my animated process videos and gifs.  The playlist included videos made between 2012 and August, 2016.  I want to do more with these in the future!

Stay tuned for info on the exhibition’s closing event sometime in November, 2016.
