LA musician seeks audience with things to destroy. It’s a happening next Saturday night in Little Tokyo, DTLA. The musician has a free ticket to the show if you’re down to give her something to destroy during her set. Worth it. DM me for info or email insearchofthingstodestroy@gmail.com
Words and water. This is right outside my studio. I painted it 3 years ago, and I’m still happy with it, so that’s nice. Im working on a new mural and even though I’ve practiced, practiced, practiced, it feels like square 1. Always at square 1. It’s a different square 1, though. Perhaps there’s a shifting grid beneath the squares that makes everything the beginning. Or I need a better work-flow system. Words and water. #blacklightart #uvart #doitfortheprocess #surrealpainting #drawingwomen #plantart

I made this flyer for the brilliant, prolific artist, writer, and mentor William R Brun for his birthday in 2016. Our dear friend Jerry Sandoval played tunes throughout the night. They're both dead, now. I'm so sad. William R Brun's memorial service is tomorrow (4/24/22) at @hillsidememorialpark 2pm. Love to you all
Special day for a forevaeva friend ❤️
When in doubt #selfportrait. Stoked wearing my #poetry #merch in @saenzwriter’s #Edgecliff shirt. I reopened my Etsy shop where you can find other Edgecliff shirts. It’s LornaAlkanaArt. I like self portraits because the subject is inherently personal, so the styles I play with while making it may offer some insight into how I’d like to art next. I’m seeing #yellow. Always #fluorescent. Phone in front of the face.
I made shirts using variations of my illustrations and interpretations of Angelina Sáenz’s book of poetry, Edgecliff. I sold a bunch at the @avenue50studio launch in 3/20 (:)))))) so great), and have a few of the limited edition, poetry/art tshirts y’all can buy.
Pix of the remaining 11x17 inch prints from the launch of Angelina Sáenz’s book of poems, Edgecliff. My #illustrations of Angelina’s Instagram posts are included in her book and made it to the walls of Ave 50 Studio for her book launch and signing a few weeks back. What an incredible event. #edgecliff @saenzwriter #ave50studio #angelinasáenz #linedrawing #poetry
Some poetry line arting with the words and images from @saenzwriter book of poems ##Edgecliff via @flowersongpress. For the book launch and signing at @avenue50studio last weekend I got to take pages from the book (per se) and put them on walls (great place for book pages). These are some of the 11x17 inch pages we have left. The text and the photos that I drew are from @saenzwriter’s IG posts #lineart #poetryart #angelinasáenz #ave50studio
Revisiting some glass vase origin stories. Kinda weird and I’m into it. #blacklightart #doitfortheprocess #flowervase #art #fluorescentart #flowerart #paperflowers
